North Warwickshire Borough Council Case Study

BOOK A DEMONSTRATOR

"Hillend Engineering has invested a lot in recent years, so it’s great to be receiving their latest generation POWERLINK, and from a team that always go the extra mile to be as helpful as possible."

John Rhodes

North Warwickshire Borough Council operates across a rural area, with waste collections reaching 30,000 residential properties. Vehicle routes are becoming increasingly difficult to navigate, leading the Council to take the decision to look for a rear axle refuse collection vehicle with improved manoeuvrability. Meeting the specifications required, and with availability when they needed it, six of Hillend Engineering’s POWERLINK vehicles will join North Warwickshire Borough Council’s fleet.

Running demonstrator vehicles previously allowed the Council to confirm that the POWERLINK was a perfect fit for their fleet. Waste & Transport Manager John Rhodes explains that the 26 tonne vehicle has a great reputation and that the powerful compaction system maximises the body volume, providing the capacity that they require.

As well as their excellent finished products, Hillend Engineering really get to know customers’ operations, building strong relationships at every step of the process to ensure that councils have the best vehicles for the job.

John Rhodes recently visited Hillend Engineering’s factory in the UK to see the new vehicles in production. He says "The whole team at Hillend Engineering are so welcoming, it feels as if we’ve known them for years. There was a lovely atmosphere
in the factory, and it was a pleasure to visit."
