50-YEAR HERITAGE
The Farid Group was founded in the 1960's, building vans, tippers and cranes for the construction industry. In the 1970's the business acquired Turin based body builder Farid Spa, and by the 1980's Farid's focus was entirely on waste collection vehicles. Strong credentials to build iconic market leading vehicles, such as our FRONT END LOADER, and all new CITYTRAK.

Hillend Engineering and Farid Industrie are part of the Zoeller Group, with 2500 specialists at 50 locations worldwide. Collectively, we innovate and share best practice across all territories.
AWARD WINNING UK OPERATION
Hillend Engineering's 7,500sq ft UK fabrication, assembly and production facility in Dunfermline, Scotland, currently comprises five buildings including machine shop, maintenance, paint shop, mount shop and after sales. Significant financial investment in manufacturing operations ensures that we have exceptional equipment and technology, from new rigs and rotators, to a state-of-the-art brake press.

Our highly skilled UK workforce of over 160 people include those who have 30 years of knowledge and invaluable experience, and those who have recently joined, with fresh ideas. We encourage a culture of collaboration with ongoing training and a structured approach to meeting KPIs.
MANUFACTURING EXCELLENCE
Throughout build, finishing and testing, we have stringent processes in place to quality control products to the highest standards. Our UK location enables customers to visit the factory to view their products in build. Should issues arise when a vehicle is fulfilling its arduous operations, our Engineers are on hand to quickly resolve the situation.

With our customers, we identify challenges facing the industry, and design products with the functionality to meet these changing needs. Whether it's optimising manoeuvrability, maximising load capacity, increasing safety or reducing carbon output, continuous improvement is a necessity.
