Overview

The Farid Hillend Engineering BigBite is considered by most to be the benchmark for all rear end loaders. Produced since the early 70’s and with the benefit of continuous development over the years, this vehicle has an enviable reputation for strength, reliability and the ability to cope with whatever operators require of it, in the most demanding of environments.

The Farid Hillend Engineering BigBite Junior comes from the T1 HD body series, conventional range of rear end loading and compacting refuse collection vehicles (RCV’s) with a 23m³ or 25m³ capacity choice.

The Farid Hillend Engineering BigBite Junior body is designed to fit medium size three axle chassis cabs of 26t GVW, ideally suited to rear steer chassis, depending on chassis configuration and unladen weight. The result of which is a compact and very manoeuvrable REL, an ideal solution where restricted access is a problem and excellent manoeuvrability is required.

The BigBite Junior has been specified with Farid Hillend Engineering’s market leading heavy-duty Comb lift, which allows lifting of REL and Eurobins at the same time rather than individually.

Waste Unloading

Unloading of waste is achieved by an ejection plate ensuring complete discharge of waste materials collected.

BODY CONSTRUCTION
  • Curved shaped, smooth sided, rolled high tensile steel body for high strength and good aesthetic appearance

TAILGATE CONSTRUCTION
  • Hopper floor curved section in 8mm hardened material and in single piece made from Hardox 450 steel
  • Carriage plate cylinders mounted outside of the hopper area, keeping them out of the refuse loading area
  • Tailgate 2“ drainage gate with screw tap

LIFTING DEVICE COMPLETE WITH SKIP LOADER
  • Double-rotation Container lifting device DIN 30700 with lid opening bar suitable to handle containers of EN 840-1(240 lt) and EN 840-3 (770 and 1100 lt with trunnion)
  • One single control & one single component for comb and/or Din arms
  • The max. payload on the Din arms is 800 kgs (if fitted)
  • Lifting power supplied by an independent hydraulic system
  • Skip loader 16 cubic yards with hydraulic stabilizers: lifting capacity max 5000 kgs
